Kurt R. Gehlsen, PhD
Dr. Kurt Ghelsen is a VP and the CSO at Research Corporation Technologies, an early-stage investment and management company specializing in biomedical companies and technologies. He has a long and distinguished career leading pharmaceutical companies, research centers and institutions, and non-profits. Dr. Ghelsen specializes in oncology and experimental medicine.
Steve Belous is a consultant, management adviser, and angel investor. He is the president of Sebco Ventures, as well as being on the board of New World Angels – a Florida-oriented early-stage investment group. Previously, Mr. Belous was a managing partner at Earnst & Young.
Robert A. Pearlman
Robert Pearlman is the former president and CEO of the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, a non-profit fundraising organization that provides capital for the Diabetes Research Institute at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. During his tenure at DRIF, the organization became the single largest contributor to the University of Miami in the school’s history.
Russel Kaufman, MD, FACP
Dr. Russel Kaufman is the Executive-in-Residence at Pappas Capital, a investment company focused solely on health and medicine. He also serves as the Emeritus professor of Medicine and Biochemistry at Duke University School of Medicine, and is the former president and CEO of The Wistar Institute, and holds leadership positions at the NIH, American Cancer Society, and the National Academy of Sciences.
Doug Klinger is a health and internet executive with over 30 years of experience managing companies of all sizes and growth levels, including Monster, Cigna, and Sears Health and Wellness. He is an active investor, and is the CEO of Zelis Healthcare, an Inc. 500 company for the last 7 years.
Eugene Golub is the founder and Chairman of the Board of Golub and Company, a visionary development company based out of Chicago. Recognized as being the first American developer to begin projects in Central and Eastern Europe and Russia in 1989, just prior to the return of market-driven economies to the region.
